Divorced Parents

In our extensive experience as wedding planners this is the one area that causes the most anxiety for either the Bride & Groom on their wedding day. In truth, most weddings nowadays have some sort of divorced parent in attendance with a new husband/wife or partner. Please don’t get phased by this, --- remember it is your big day so gently lay down the rules of engagement as to how you would like to proceed in terms of either the protocol of the marriage ceremony or the seating plan at your reception. Very rarely does this turn out to be the problem that you first envisage it to be, -- however if you do your best to create an atmosphere of inclusiveness and civility, all will be well.
